Addi's "Fancy" 4th Birthday

Where does the time go? Seriously? I mean, I have a four year old who I feel should still be the same age as my 4 month old and my 4 month old still just be days old. Well, wherever time, has gone it's taken us to celebrating Addilyn's 4th birthday. When asked what kind of party she wanted, she responded with "Fancy Nancy". For those of you who have never heard of this fanciful little darling she's a book character who believes that accessorizing is a must, being fancy and posh is the only way to be and using fancy words is part of being a grown up. And if you've met Addilyn, she fits this to a "T".

Addi's party invitation. She had 2 parties this year and she thought she was high class! One for family at our house and the next day one for her friends.

Our fancy cupcakes. I called around to every place in E-town that made cakes and no one had ever heard of Fancy Nancy. Thanks to a friend's idea I printed images of the diva and laminated them and hot glued them to the back of sticks I got at the craft store. They were a big hit with Addi and I probably saved money in the long run!

The birthday girl! She's all into posing and getting her to stand still is a feat all in it's own!

She told her daddy one night about 3 days before her birthday that she had wished upon a star for a pair of glass slippers. This was news to me. So, I scoured the internet and stores looking for a pair of Cinderella glass slippers. She was quite excited and loves clomping around the house in her fancy shoes!

Her party at Blazer's was a huge hit! She kept with the Fancy Nancy theme and she had feather boas, huge diamond rings, bracelets and necklaces to jewel up each of her guests. Addi's look was complete with a tiara.

Each girl I think was excited to get all prettied up and these were their favors to take home from the party. I haven't had any complaints from the moms about all the feathers from the boas, so I think they went over well!

Addi and some of her friends digging into the cupcakes and ice cream!

The inflatables were lots of fun for all involved. I think some of the daddys and mommys were a little more wore out than the kiddos. (Addi's daddy included!)

Fancy Larkin!

Jennings having a good time in the bounce house!

Poor Briley was the only boy at the "fancy" party, but I don't think it bothered him too much!

Allie and Addi

Addilyn has only been the BIG 4 for a little over a week now, yet she is already talking about birthday number 5 and contemplating what that will be like!
